Hello New Opportunities

(From the OELS website)

Well, I am living the Life.

I am currently an intern up in the Mountains
for my whole last semester of high school.

Pretty much
I work with a new group of awesome sixth graders per week.

I take online classes
and am actually an employee of the school district.

I teach classes
Including Geology, Pioneer History, Astronomy and Wildlife.

I also do Wellness-Checks on the students in my cabin.
Due to these recent H1N1 scare,
the school district requires us (interns)
to take temperatures of each student in "my" cabin each morning.

I have my own little corner in the room.
It consists of a bed and a bathroom.
My bed has a curtain around it for privacy!

I mean,
Who doesn't love sleeping in a room full of 24 sixth grade girls without a curtain?

Oh yes
I do live up here for the semester.

Did I mention I get to go home on the weekends
(To visit the lovely Jake and Fergi)

It is time for bed.
I have a staff meeting in the morning!

I will post more later, with an update.(Another picture from the OELS website)

  1. And what about visiting the lovely moma? (JK)

We are so proud of you ... and, yes, we miss you. But we know you are having an experience of your lifetime, and that makes us happy.

And it seems Moma is cooking more specials for you, when you come home. That always means the possibility of dropped food and more plats to lick.

So, maybe it's not all a bad thing.

Be safe. Have fun. And hurry home.
    Jake and Fergi

  7. Wow, that sounds like it will be a great semester - I think it would be so fun to get to teach kids any of those thing, but all of them must be exciting.

  8. My mom and I are furry jealous!

    Such adventures ahead!

    Khyra and Her Mom

  9. What interesting subjects you're teaching. Great about the curtain.

  10. Well if you ask us we think that Jake and Fergie should be teaching with you as well. They could be a GREAT help( plus they could heat up your bed for you at night) but you seem like you are very very busy with important work so best they stay with Moma for the time being..Love and kisses Agatha and Archie

  11. Mom went to a camp like this when she was in 6th grade, she really enjoyed it. Good luck and have fun!

  12. Oh my Nina have your own bloggie?? Jake and Fergie are gonna flip over this...they are such sweet foxies...wonder where Mumsie went wrong with Scruffy????

Our big sissie is teachin' seventh grade this year...she's "looping"...she had the same kids last year and next. Yeppers...all those girlies in one cabin? I'm not sure a curtain is going to make it...I think you need a WALL...can only imagine the gigglin' that goes on at night!

Kisses to you, your mom and J and F!!

    Tailie wags...Laciegirlie!!

And just for the record, it's not ALL true what they say about me.....
