On a Scale of 1-10

An update.

I love it up here at OELS!
(Outdoor Education Lab School)

Even better, though
my lovely pups Jake and Fergi
are getting so much more comfortable
with me not being there all the time.

Jake has found a new distraction.
Looking at himself, his full-handsome self, in the new mirror.

(Doesn't that picture just make your heart melt?)

And
Miss Fergi has found herself chewing bones
and she loves her walks.

I am getting my confidence up too.

I have some little tokens of love, joy and encouragement up here.
(This is credited to Ami Kroon)

This is a drawing by Ami, which I received for my 18th birthday, back in November.

If my doggies can't be here, this lovely drawing reminds me of them.

I will share more tokens of joy with you later on.

Now I am laying in my bed, with all the girls fast asleep

(or at least that's what I'm hoping)

Goodnight (from behind my curtain!)

On a scale of 1-10

It's one million up here!!!

Much Love

Hello New Opportunities

(From the OELS website)

Well, I am living the Life.

I am currently an intern up in the Mountains
for my whole last semester of high school.

Pretty much
I work with a new group of awesome sixth graders per week.

I take online classes
and am actually an employee of the school district.

I teach classes
Including Geology, Pioneer History, Astronomy and Wildlife.

I also do Wellness-Checks on the students in my cabin.
Due to these recent H1N1 scare,
the school district requires us (interns)
to take temperatures of each student in "my" cabin each morning.

I have my own little corner in the room.
It consists of a bed and a bathroom.
OOH!
My bed has a curtain around it for privacy!

I mean,
Who doesn't love sleeping in a room full of 24 sixth grade girls without a curtain?

Oh yes
I do live up here for the semester.

Did I mention I get to go home on the weekends
(To visit the lovely Jake and Fergi)

Well
It is time for bed.
I have a staff meeting in the morning!

I will post more later, with an update.(Another picture from the OELS website)

About Me

Just a little about Me:

First of all, I am going to be a Senior in High School.

Second of all, I live with my Mom

and our two wonderful Wire Fox Terriers
in Colorado.

Thirdly, I am ready to start blogging my adventures in life.

Now that that's out of the way, I can begin. :)

I have played piano for 12 years (holy cow that's a really long time!) I am really into classical music, such as Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Debussy. You name it, I love it. I also played oboe for about 5 years, and eventually stopped due to lack of time in the day (with school work, piano and a social life).

Outside of music, I enjoy the outdoors, eating all types of different foods, and playing with my two dogs, Mr. Jake and Lovely Miss Fergi. :)

You can follow their summer adventures at
twospecialwires.blogspot.com

I'll write more soon!

Nina

A Work...

.. in progress! Come back soon. Hopefully, I'll have added more.
Right now homework, practicing and two little dogs are demanding my attention.
